ASN Graduate Student and Postdoc travel awards

Graduate student and postdoc members of the ASN can request to be considered for a $500 US travel award. Recipients must present a talk or poster at the meeting and must provide a written explanation of why they need the funds (150 words maximum) as part of the application. To be eligible, applicants must be ASN members at the time of application and must not have received the travel award in the previous year. Funds will be paid in the form of a $500 check in US dollars that will distributed at/after the meeting in Montpellier. Additional details and a link to the application form are available here: http://www.evolutionmeetings.org/evolution-2018---montpellier-france.html.

SSE Graduate Student and Postdoc travel awards

Graduate student and postdoc members of the SSE can request to be considered for a $500 US travel award. SSE will be providing 100 travel awards for the 2018 Joint Congress in Montpellier. Recipients must present a talk or poster at the meeting and must provide a written explanation of why they need the funds (150 words maximum) as part of the application. To be eligible, applicants must be SSE members at the time of application, must not have received the travel award in the previous year, and postdocs must be fewer than 6 years post-PhD without a permanent position. Funds will be paid in the form of a $500 check in US dollars to be picked up at the meeting in Montpellier. Additional details and a link to the application form are available here: http://www.evolutionmeetings.org/evolution-2018---montpellier-france.html.

SSE International travel stipends

These stipends support attendance at the conference for scientists in low GDP countries at various stages of their professional career (i.e., Masters/PhD students, postdocs, and lecturers). Applicants must be SSE members at the time of application. Those working in countries with high GDP are not eligible. Recipients will receive a waiver of their registration fees. Additional funds covering travel and living expenses will be provided as a reimbursement from SSE after the meeting. ESEB International travel stipends

These stipends are for students and young scientists to attend the Joint Evolution congress in Montpellier, France. Scientists working in a country with high GDP are not eligible. The stipend will contribute to covering travel and living expenses. Recipients will receive a waiver of their registration fees. The award will be paid out as a reimbursement after the meeting, based on specification of the expenses. NOTE: No one may receive more than one travel award per meeting. This includes SSE travel awards, SSE & ESEB International travel stipends, and ASN travel awards. However, Equal Opportunity Congress Attendance Aid grants (see below) can be combined with one of these travel awards.

ESEB Equal Opportunity Congress Attendance Aid

These grants are aimed to increase the attendance of women at the Joint Evolution conference in Montpellier, France in 2018. These stipends are financial aid for female scientists to help with the additional costs borne privately due to responsibilities for dependents when attending the ESEB congress. The stipend will contribute to covering expenses for care of dependents, but also for travel.
